Zaphiro has adapted advanced Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) technology, originally developed for transmission networks, for distribution grids. SynchroGuard is the first intelligent solution specifically designed for this purpose, providing unprecedented visibility and real-time control through high-resolution, time-synchronized measurements.
By strategically installing a limited number of PMUs (requiring only 10-20% measurement coverage), SynchroGuard utilizes PMU-based state estimation to provide comprehensive visibility on voltages, current/power flows and phase angles across the entire network in real-time. This approach ensures full grid visibility even with partial instrumentation. This data can be visualized in your existing SCADA/ADMS systems.
