We are pleased to announce the release of SynchroGuard Bocchetta d’Aurona, marking another important milestone in the evolution of our platform. Over the past weeks, our team has worked extensively to deliver a more powerful, user-friendly and secure solution.
Official Documentation Now Available
SynchroGuard’s official documentation is now live. It covers the essential topics to help users get started and fully leverage the platform.
It includes module overviews and dedicated tutorials designed to guide users through dashboard-based workflows.
New Data Management App
We have introduced a brand-new Data Management App, bringing several functionalities into an intuitive user interface.
The application also features a completely redesigned User Interface to improve usability.
Key features include :
- Export of event-related measurements
- CIM model export
- Switching state export
- Download management
- Multilingual support (English, Italian, Spanish)
Asset Monitoring Improvements
The Asset Monitoring module now includes a new state estimation service, enabling visibility on grid nodes that were previously not covered (such as T-junctions).
This extended coverage will support future capabilities, including power loss estimation across monitored networks.
Power Quality Monitoring Enhancements
The Power Quality module has been significantly improved:
- Rapid Voltage Changes now use nominal voltage as the reference
- More reliable event filtering
- Improved handling of overlapping events (Dip/Swell)
- Event timestamp interpolation enabled by default
Security and Infrastructure Updates
We have implemented major updates to strengthen system security and reliability:
- Fixed a data retention issue affecting fault analysis
- Resolved over 150 vulnerabilities in third-party dependencies
- No known medium or high severity vulnerabilities remain in the current version
- Hardened cloud infrastructure (automatic credential rotation, enforced HTTPS, extended logging)
- Adoption of Amazon GuardDuty for continuous security monitoring
These efforts are part of our ongoing journey toward compliance with the ISO 27001 standard and our commitment to best-in-class security practices.
Why “Aurona”?
Punta d’Aurona is a mountain located on the border between Switzerland and Italy, known for its challenging terrain and breathtaking views.
The name reflects Zaphiro Technologies’ Alpine roots and symbolizes a new step forward in our journey.
Bocchetta d’Aurona, the mountain pass connecting the peak to the surrounding valleys, symbolizes our release journey: the final version will be named Aurona, while intermediate releases like this one are named after mountain passes, representing key milestones along the way toward the summit.
“This release focuses on strengthening the core of the platform, with significant improvements in state estimation, event processing and data accessibility across modules. We also worked on enhancing system reliability, performance and security foundations to support the next stages of SynchroGuard’s evolution” said Federico Facca, Head of Platform Engineering.
“Bocchetta d’Aurona brings meaningful improvements that directly enhance the user experience, from better visibility in power quality analysis to more accessible data management tools. It is another step toward making SynchroGuard even more intuitive, powerful and valuable for our clients in their daily operations” said Marco Pignati, CTO.
Stay tuned, the journey to Aurona has just begun.
