We are proud to announce the latest achievements in our ongoing partnership with SIG Services Industriels de Genève, where significant strides have been made in optimizing grid reliability and fault detection capabilities. The project, which covers 85 kilometers of distribution lines, involves the installation of 11 Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs) to accurately monitor 6 MV feeders for a total of 85 substations. The main focus of this initiative is fault location, ensuring faster and more accurate identification of faults within the grid, which helps minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency. The project also includes the setting up of automated email alerts and periodic reporting systems.
Our innovative SynchroGuard cloud-based software offers advanced functionalities, such as automatic fault location and event detection, designed to enhance the grid’s reliability. This partnership is also paving the way for intermittent fault detection, a crucial aspect of maintaining a stable grid under challenging conditions.
According to Nabil Bahadi, Operating Engineer at SIG, “The cooperation with Zaphiro has been instrumental in our progress. With their advanced fault detection technologies and supportive project management, we are improving fault detection times. The integration of the project and Zaphiro’s innovative solutions are helping us enhance the reliability and efficiency of our grid.”
Riccardo Vasapollo, Project Manager at Zaphiro, added, “Working alongside SIG has been a rewarding experience for our team. We are committed to providing innovative solutions that support their goals and improve overall grid performance. Our collaboration exemplifies how strategic partnerships can lead to meaningful advancements in technology and service delivery.”
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue contributing to unlock the potential of SIG’s power grid.
